Book Illustrations

In June I entered my "Body Snatcher" illustrations and "The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter" illustrations to a German book illustration competition of the Hans-Meid-Foundation (Hans-Meid-Stiftung).

I received the young talents award for the two projects.

The reason why I picked "The Body Snatcher" by Robert Louis Stevenson was basically the dark and creepy atmosphere in this short story.

I also wanted to do something that happended in the early 19th century.

The British artist Eric Ravilious was very inspiring and influential on this piece of work.
